Angela Holderness ~
I’m Angela Holderness, the founder of “Fixin’ 2 Quilt”. I’ve been married to my best friend, Darin, for 36 years. I’m a mother of 5 beautiful children and a grandmother of 10 perfect grandchildren! We have lived in several places in the United States; starting in Rexburg, Idaho and currently living in the Caldwell area for the last 14 years. I’m originally from South Carolina with deep southern roots. People say I talk funny, but I can’t hear it. I’m a retired nurse, deciding to enjoy the rest of my career creating sewn treasures throughout the Treasure Valley. I have made wonderful friends through the years and look forward to serving you as you create your own quilted treasures. Y’all come see us soon!
Jan Harritt ~
I started my life with fabric when I was 5 years old. My mom got me a hot pad loom and cut loops out of socks for the first few I made. I went on to "sew" clothes for every doll I had, from Barbie to troll dolls. By the time I took Home Economics in 9th grade, I had been sewing at home with my mom--who was a fabulous seamstress. I made my own clothes and other odds and ends for many years until I started quilting in my late 20's. That was almost 40 years ago and quite a few quilts.
I taught quilting classes in Eagle and Caldwell, and sometimes in my home. My favorite methods are scrap quilting, small piecing with small pieces, hand piecing, hand applique, and domestic machine quilting. I started quilting my own quilts in the late 80's with the arrival of Harriet Hargrave's book and methods, and continue to quilt almost every one of my quilts on my home machine. I'm thrilled to be planning classes at Fixin 2 Quilt and hope to see some new and maybe some familiar faces soon.
